Four students from Aduvie International School, Abuja are among the seven students to represent Nigeria at the 2018 Certiport Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) championship, in Orlando, Florida, United States, between July 29 and August 1.
The Head of the school, Abiodun Olusoji, made this known on Wednesday while listing the school’s achievement during its 10th anniversary and thanksgiving ceremony.
Mr. Olusoji was enthusiastic that the school has not only been excelling academically but has also made great strides in extra-curricular activities, to the admiration of independent educationists.
He said the fact that “out of the over 500 students who participated in the preliminary competition, four of the successful seven contestants that will be representing Nigeria in Orlando, Florida, are from Aduvie is a big achievement. The principal explained that the school attaches great premium to courses in Information Communication Technology, ICT, because this is the key to the future.
Mr. Olusoji assured that the four students going to the US for the Microsoft championship are already receiving great tutorials from experts and expressed the hope that they would do well in the event in Orlando, Florida.
He urged all schools keen in inculcating ICT training in their students to expose them to current and intricate aspects of the subject so that more Nigerian students would gain admission into top universities in Europe, Canada and USA.
