He is talented and hot. Yes, Koffi Olomide is the rave of the moment. Althugh ,the popular rhumba maestro has been barred from entering Zambia because of the many criminal allegations against him in that country, he is performing live in neighbouring Zimbabwe today. The allegations include assaulting photojournalist Jean Mandela in Zambia during a previous tour.
Despite the accusations of sexually assaulting his dancers, kidnapping them and employing them without valid permits in France, Zimbabwe will host the singer as he is set to perform at the Harare International Conference Centre on August 3 (today).
Reports say that enthusiastic Zimbabwean youths have been lining up the routes where Olomide is expected to drive to the Harare International Conference Centre for his stage show.
Koffi touched down in Harare with his 24-member entourage and they were billed to have various tours in the country ahead of the main event today. Organisers of the show said they were happy to have the rhumba star in the country a day before the event being organized by Sound Blaze.
Local musicians that will share the stage with Koffi Olomide at the Harare International Conference Centre say they are ready for the big assignment and will pose good stage competition to the international rhumba star.
The local artistes to perform at the concert include Alick Macheso, Suluman Chimbetu, Winky D and DJ Iroq.
