The tentative process of easing coronavirus lockdown to some is a tale of family reunion. To others a time to reflect and find answers lurking nearby.
However this is not the case for some residents of Lagos State, Nigeria as they believe the lockdown has led to untold hardship and aid in the escalation of crime by hoodlums and miscreants whose means of livelihood is dependent on daily wages.
President Muhammad Buhari announced a two week extension of the lockdown for Lagos,Ogun and Abuja and he was quoted as saying that the fight against covid-19 is a matter of life and death.
For residents of maryland, Ogba, Ikorodo and Surulere in Lagos State, protecting their life and those of their loved ones from the notorious robbery gang called the one million boys is a matter of life and death. The residents comprising of male adults in their 20s to 40s took to the street at night depriving themselves of sleep.They arm themselves with cutlass, bottles and other weapon just to protect and defend themselves against any form of attack.
The one million boys is a robbery gang comprising of hundreds of gang members mostly teenagers. They have been said to flee police in two Nigerian states under a coronavirus lockdown and have left a message for residents to brace themselves for an attack.
