The President of the United States of America (USA) ) Mr. Joe Biden, has called for peaceful and credible General Election in Nigeria, saying citizens deserved a chance to freely choose their leaders
Mr. Biden made the call on his official Twitter handle, calling on all candidates to respect the election results and support a peaceful transition.
The US President further stressed that it was vital for Nigeria’s stability and democratic consolidation that the process was conducted and concluded fairly, and credibly.
On their part, some foreign envoys expressed happiness at the signing of the peace accord and said that they were committed towards supporting Nigerians in electing the president and lawmakers of their choice.
