The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi ,says 32 patients have been discharged after the accidentl involving a train and a bus in the Ikeja area of the state.
Professor Abayomi disclosed this while addressing journalists at a news conference at the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, LASUTH .
The Comissioner said a total of one hundred and two casualites were recorded. According to the health commisioner, the number of fatalities still stand at six, while nineteen survivors have been discharged from LASUTH, five from the state Accident and Emergency Centre at Old Toll Gate, and Eight from Orile-Agege General Hospital.
He added that two hundred and fifty six units of voluntary blood was received from Lagos State residents, while 40 units of blood had been transferred for the survivors .
