EVACUATION OF STARANDED NIGERIANS IN LIBYA UNDERWAY

The Federal Government and the International Organization for Migration ( IOM)have facilitated the evacuation of some stranded Nigerians from Libya back to the country.

According to a statement by the Ambassador in Charge of the Affairs of the Nigerian Mission in Libya, Mr Kabiru Musa, a total 151 citizens, were flown in from Benghazi as the government resumed voluntary evacuation.

The returnees who arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, last night include 54 males, 71 females , 14 children, and 13 infants.

More Nigerians will be evacuated from Tripoli , while another batch of returnees from Misrata have been scheduled for April 3.
