Google Nigeria is teaming up with the Kenyan-based ICT firm, Estol Africa, to organize the New Media Round Table, aimed at fostering a healthy and progressive working relationship among stakeholders in the digital industry.
The forum, which will provide ICT enthusiasts the opportunity to focus on marketing trends as well as to create an ecosystem whereby people can idealize, innovate and push the industry forward, is slated to hold this Friday, in Lagos.
Publishers, Social Influencers, Brand managers, Digital Marketing Heads, professionals and enthusiasts are expected to participate in the event, to discuss how Influencer Marketing can reach its full potential and how players in this mix can collaborate and co-create to achieve a mutually benefiting goal in 2018.
According to the Managing Partner of Estol Africa, Tosin Adekeye, “NMR was born off the need to redefine how people consume and use the media. Over the years we have seen a massive culture shift and rise of digital entrepreneurs who are not only redefining what work means but shaping culture and setting trends”.
Mrs. Adekeye explained further, “rapidly growing group of Digital Natives are well armed with the power of Influence and this makes them an important element in the marketing strategy of brands interested in building relationships with their consumers online”.
It is expected that a strategic planner and brand communications specialist with multicultural experience, Franklin Ozekhome, would deliver the keynote speech at the Round Table.
A release from Google Nigeria shows that Taiwo-Kola Ogunlade (Communications and Public Affairs Manager, Anglophone West Africa Google), Miss Techy (Tech influencer), Afrolems (Food Influencer), Frank Donga (Social Influencer) Femi Bakre (Founder Kraks TV), Olusegun Martins (Head of Digital Insight Publicis), would serve as Speakers, Panelists and facilitators for the Round Table.
