Standard Organisation of Nigeria SON

The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON)has advised Nigerians to keep a respectable distance from poorly-produced and dangerous electric cables, electronics in circulation.

The organisation also tasked manufacturers, dealers and producers of electrical cables and electronics on sticking to standards and quality assurance.

The Director General of SON,Mr Farouk Salim, stated this in Ibadan during a sensitisation of stakeholders in electrical and electronics on life endangering products.

Represented by the Southwest Regionals Director of SON, Mrs Ethan Talatu, the Director General charged business owners to collaborate with SON to produce quality and safe electrical electronic products.

He said that the nation would quickly move from consuming to a productive economy if producers, manufacturers, and dealers were intent on producing products that would always meet global standards..

Mr Salim enjoined business owners not toto hesitate to invite SON to help check the quality of products before releasing them to the market.
