The Bishop of Abuja Diocese and Primate of Anglican Communion in Nigeria, the Most Reverend. Henry Ndukuba, has urged fathers to lead and discharge spiritual responsibilities at the home-fronts in order to grow their families in the path of God.
In a message in Abuja, to mark the this year’s Father’s Day Celebration with the theme “Transformed Fathers: Transformed Homes,” the primate urged fathers to live exemplary lives for their. wives and children to emulate.
According to the Most Reverend. Ndukuba, some fathers had relegated the responsibility of ensuring the spiritual well- being of their families to their wives contrary to the teachings of the Bible.
He said that it was the responsibility of fathers to transmit the word of God to their families.
Similarly, the Vicar, St Phillip’s Anglican Church,Gwarinpa,Abuja, Venerable. Princewill Ireoba, has advised men to be active and proactive in all endeavours.
He said that their actions would go a long way positively or negatively in the family, society and nation at large.
