The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has urged the 36 State Legislative Assemblies to hasten efforts on amendment of relevant laws.

This is to give room for upward review of renumeration of political, judicial and public officers.

The Chairman of the commission , Alhaji Muhammadu Shehu, made the call at the presentation of reports of the reviewed renumeration package to Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, in Birnin Kebbi.
Alhaji Shehu said that
work by the state legislative assemblies would allow for the commencement of implementation of the reviewed remuneration packages for political, public and judicial officers.

Alhaji
Shehu, represented by the Federal Commissioner, Mrs Rakiya Tanko-Ayuba, said the move was in line with the provision of Paragraph 32(d) of Part 1 of the Third Schedule of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Government, as amended.
